[ it's more of a squeak that comes out of him than a question or some kind of other noise, and he opens his eyes. the moonlight doesn't do much, but he can see fushimi's face clearer now than he did earlier. still, he feels as if nothing's wrong with this set up, while other people probably would.
he blinks a couple of times in wonder, and he shifts to rest his head on his arm.
if fushimi wanted to sleep, he sure isn't getting any any time soon because yata wants to talk now. ]
[Sleep probably isn't going to happen any time soon for him anyway, but Fushimi was sort of hoping that Yata would just go back to sleep. He shakes his head slightly against the pillow.]
Earlier-- [Nope, it's pointless to focus on any what-ifs about what might have happened now that it's over.] I just... want to be near Misaki. I... [He pushes the covers away, sitting up and fumbling for his glasses.] I shouldn't have woken you up, nevermind.
[ he blinks in confusion again. this guy isn't making any sense again. and here he thought fushimi would start speaking to him in a way that he'd understand what he truly means.
it's difficult. fushimi's difficult, but yata's always been patient with him and is always willing to work things out.
[Even though he's not being very clear, Fushimi is trying, but making an effort and making sense is asking a lot. He stops trying to leave, though, leaving his glasses on the table and folding his hands in front of him.]
Yeah... the robots thing. I didn't like it it. I don't like it. Having to go through things like that. [A bit of an understatement.] But we're both here still, so I know worrying about it is stupid.
[ well, he'd have a tough time trying to kill somebody with fushimi's face, too. he gets it. except yata's kind of bad at offering consolation, so all he says is-- ]
[He knows better than to expect any kind of long-winded speeches that are meant to be comforting. Yata's simple statement is just so him that Fushimi allows himself a small smile.]
Wise words, Misaki. [His tone is light, and he's not trying to mock Yata very much at all.]
Your brain must still be asleep if you have to ask that kind of question. I wasn't, though. [He pauses. How can he not tease Yata now?] I'll wait until you're more awake for that.
[Two nerds, laying down and trying get set for sleep, no big deal. Fushimi fusses with the covers and settling down himself. He faces Yata's back, just laying quietly.
For a little while, at least. He speaks very quietly, just in case.]
[ he's not sulking or anything, but yata mentioning the robots earlier made him think about jaune. it's not like he hasn't beaten up or killed anybody before, so it's really not bothering him, but he ends up thinking about it anyway. ]
[He knows he doesn't really have to say that he's willing to listen if Yata wants to talk, and he's also the last person that would have a right to say anything about anyone keeping things to themselves. There are times when venting just don't help that much. Even so, he should at least try.]
Will it help... talking about what's on your mind?
[He doesn't answer right away, mostly because it's a terrible question and he needs to process it. He's done a lot awful things to Yata before, of course. But even setting aside the fact that Yata literally saved his life, the very idea of willingly choosing to kill him almost makes Fushimi feel ill. If Yata thinks that that's even a possibility...] Misaki.
[He sits back up, pushing the covers off while turning away towards the edge of the bed and letting his feet rest on the floor.] Is that what you think? That it would be just that easy for me to kill you? [And now he's mumbling to himself, hunching his shoulders and frowning.] If that's the case, why even stay here?
[ he laughs amiably and scratches his cheek. he sure has made this awkward, but at the same time, it was an honest question. he really was—is—curious... what would fushimi do if ceres took over his code and made him go rampant? ]
Heh. I was just askin'.
[ a beat, and he decides to deliver his point. ]
I mean, if CERES toys with my code or something. . . I don't really get that part much. . . but they can do that, right? I wouldn't wanna hurt anybody. And if I had to be stopped, then it'd be cool if you did it.
[Nothing Yata is saying is making him want to stay, and since he's already halfway to getting up and going, it's tempting to just leave and maybe try to deal with this in the morning.
The urge to tell Yata what a damn fool he's being is also pretty huge, too, though. He stays where he is, not even bothering to turn back around.]
It would be cool if I murdered you? I don't care about whatever circumstances might come up and I don't care about anyone else here. You must be working overtime at being an idiot if you think for a second I'm going to be okay with something like that.
[ then who's gonna kill yata if he does go on a murderous rampage?!?!?!? ]
I do have four jobs, and it's not as easy as being an eyeglasses model. . . [ his tone is soft when he speaks, and he tugs on the back of fushimi's shirt, too.

[ another squeak, and he uses his free hand to jab at fushimi's shoulders. ]
What's that supposed to mean?
no subject
It means that there's no point in teasing someone who was very likely drooling in their sleep.
no subject
[ he wipes his mouth with the back of his hand to check. ah.... there is drool. ]
. . . You got me.
no subject
It's probably not a terrible idea to go back to sleep.

Didn't think I'd have to kill somebody here.

It was always a possibility. Having to go through with it... it's definitely strange.
no subject
It's not strange... not to me. Just- [ he flaps a hand dismissively. ] okay, maybe it is strange.

no subject
[ oh no, this is a bad idea. this is a bad thing to ask... but he's so curious now. stupid midnight thoughts. ]
If I ever start acting weird because of this place, would you kill me?
